Computer
Troubleshooters provides a remote support service for times when an on-site call
is not necessary to fix a minor problem. This service is priced lower per hour
than our on-site service.
The remote service application is downloaded and started by you from our web site. Only after
you start the remote service application will we be able to access
your computer.
We never have the ability to control or access you computer unless you
first grant permission.
First
confirm that the button at the top of this window says
Online,
then click the button (if it says
Offline
we are not currently available for a remote session). You will
then see two dialog boxes, click RUN in both.
Next
you will see a Chat window.

If
we are not speaking with you on the phone we
can exchange messages thru the chat window. We will let you know if and when we need to
take control of your PC, and you will have to give us permission by clicking
Accept. A small dialog box will open indicating we are connected.
You may break the connection at any time by clicking Cancel.
When
the service is complete we will disconnect and the program will end. We can not
reconnect without you giving us permission again.
